Every pre-match conference, Arsene Wenger will always be questioned regarding Alexis Sanchez.
He time and time again insists that the club are not looking to sell of the Chilean.
It’s no secret that Alexis Sanchez are desperate to leave the Gunners for Manchester City last summer but the deal scuppered after Arsenal failed attempt to lure Lemar from AS Monaco.
We are now in mid January where the winter transfer window opens and every online sports betting are hot on the transfer news.
Sanchez are back at the radar of not just Manchester City, but also Manchester United that came as a surprise.
Mourinho admits that Sanchez is very good player hinting that the rumors linking the player and United are pretty true.
In yesterday’s press conference, Wenger hinted that their star player could leave this month as the player is not showing any signs that he is likely to extend his contract.
But the manager did gave some hopes to fans that Ozil extension looks more optimistic and on form Jack Wilshere are also likely to pen a new deal.
“It looks like he (Sanchez) will not extend his contract but we want to keep Jack and Ozil. There is an opportunity for Ozil to say very much so.” the manager said.
Arsene signed a two year contract extension last summer after a good amount of fans wanted him to be out and be replaced after repeating failures of Premier League success.
But Arsenal’s director make the final say and agree to extend the Frenchman stay in London.
Contract extension don’t mean anything in football now as results matter.
The season is half way through and Arsenal sit 6th in the league, two points behind London rival, Spurs and 23 points behind leaders City.
Fans want him out as they could not take the humiliation. Ancelotti was linked to replace Wenger.
And in no surprise, Wenger again comes out saying he will see out his contract with the club till 2019.
This comment doesn’t sound good to the ears for Arsenal fans at this moment.
Their best players are not committing to the club, usual players are not performing, the team are not clicking and players like Iwobi and Bellerin cares more about partying and fashion shows.
And some first team players like Ramsey are close to the end of their contract very soon as well.
To make it worse, they just got dumped out from FA Cup by Nottingham Forest in the 3rd round as Champion.
Things are only going downhill.
The manager can only give the same excuse every single time and with the promising capture of Alexandre Lacazette last summer, the team is still not going forward.
No great players wants to come to Arsenal as quoted by legend Thierry Henry.
No matter how many players the club linked to, the qualities does not meet a top club standard like Arsenal.
The list of players they have are just better than average at the moment without Sanchez and Ozil.
It’s a humiliation and embarrassment that the club has come to this extend.
When are we gonna see the next Thierry Henry and next Patrick Vieira or the next “Invincibles” at Arsenal?
