Several southeastern Colorado organizations worked together to bring the Auger North project to the area and are now working together to facilitate building the observatory, including:

Bent County Fairgrounds is the location of one of the outreach tanks used for education. The CSU extension
office is seen in the background Large size
Prowers county buildings south of Lamar where scientists from CSU and Michigan Technical University have
made atmospheric measurements verifying the clarity of the air for the Auger north project. Large size ![]()
Lamar Community College has pledged 5 acres to the Auger project for the central Auger campus.
Support from the State of Colorado will go toward financing the visitor center. Large size |
This web site is dedicated to informing the public about the Auger North site in southeast Colorado and
provides links to local resources and people who are working to facilitate building the northern site. Questions
