Several southeastern Colorado organizations worked together to bring the Auger North project to the area and are now working together to facilitate building the observatory, including:

Prowers County Building
Prowers county buildings south of Lamar where scientists from CSU and Michigan Technical University have made atmospheric measurements verifying the clarity of the air for the Auger north project.

LCC Photo
Lamar Community College has pledged 5 acres to the Auger project for the central Auger campus. Support from the State of Colorado will go toward financing the visitor center.
